Photographed in October 2011 at 47cm, with good growth you can see the beni has changed a little on the body and the sumi has reduced in the fins and the body, this is common with good growth and its better the sumi has reduced as later it will not be too overpowering on the koi, there is still good area of white skin giving a much sharper appearance to the koi. Maruyama Showa continue to develop for many years so there is plenty of time for this koi, but everything is heading in the right direction.
