Oishi Tosai purchased on my June 2011 trip, it was produced from Oishi's 92cm Female Oyagoi and Sakai Fish Farm male parent. Purchased at 20cm and 22cm when collected by the customer in July. The koi has been kept at 24 degrees in 6000 gallons. This koi was purchased because of its body shape and skin quality, the beni was very thick due to being grown slowly, The sashi and beni was very clean with good marazome kiwa however as the koi grows both these will change dramatically. Tosai should not be judged too harshly and a good understanding of the bloodline is very important.
